Glatz Property
Canadian Arrow Mines has acquired a 100% interest in the Glatz Property located 35 km south of Dryden, Ontario and approximately 70 km east of the Kenbridge Deposit. Previous exploration efforts identified nickel-copper sulphide mineralization in twelve trenches along a 700 metre trend. The zone, discovered in 1965 by local prospector A. Glatz, is up to 40 metres wide and is open along strike and at depth. Historical grab samples were reported to contain up to 1.95% Ni. More recent samples collected by the MNDM, (2001, Open File Report 6079), returned values up to 1.01% Ni. The mineralization varies from disseminated sulphides to narrow semi-massive sulphide bands.
Seven of twelve trenches from historic exploration programs were located and sampled. The trenches are situated along 450m of the historic 700m long trend. Sulphide mineralization has been identified in all trenches with assay results returning values up to 1.28% Ni and 4.06% Cu. Past exploration programs included geological mapping and geophysical surveys however diamond drilling was not reported. The company has initiated line cutting, with plans to follow up with geophysical surveys.
Highlights of the 2007 surface grab sampling program include:
- 1.28% Ni, 0.26% Cu, Glatz trench 3
- 0.99% Ni, 0.18% Cu, Glatz trench 3
- 0.39% Ni, 4.06% Cu, Glatz trench 4
The Glatz property is situated in an area of excellent infrastructure on one unpatented claim consisting of 15 claim units. The company has since staked surrounding claims.
